Since June 2003, a high-speed closed-type vessel (25 seats with an ambulance) has been operating, connecting the port of Tripiti with the only inhabited island of Halkidiki, Amouliani, mainly at night after the regular ferry boat schedules.
The vessel is equipped with a fully equipped ambulance, which has transported over one hundred patients to Tripiti to be transferred to the hospital.
It also transports students who attend the Gymnasium and High School of Ierissos on a daily basis.
