In the framework of the Operational Program “Continuing Education and Promotion of Employment” of the 3rd CSF, funding was provided until 31-8-2008 for the continuation of the operation of the Childcare Center in the Municipal District of Stanos, with the purpose of serving the residents of the area, promoting employment opportunities, and increasing employability.
The facility operates in a space owned by the Stanos Agricultural Cooperative, and the exclusive use of the ground floor (160 sq.m.) has been granted to the Municipal Enterprise.
It is located in a place that ensures quick and easy accessibility and serves 20 children.
According to the above, the expected results are:
- Unblocking the female workforce from increased family obligations.
- Creating favorable conditions for combining family and professional life for women.
- Creating favorable conditions for the professional advancement of women.
- Creating favorable conditions for job-seeking women, especially the unemployed.
- Creating job positions in the facility (mainly for women).
- Qualitative improvement of infant care services in the area.
As can be seen from the above results, the direct beneficiaries of the project are women who wish to integrate or re-enter the paid active economic life by alleviating family obligations (raising children), and generally families whose income increases through the employment opportunities provided to women.
