Arnaia Dance Group
The dance group of the Aristotle Cultural Center was re-established in April 1994, and since then, it has been operating departments for children from seven (7) to eighteen (18) years old, as well as two adult departments. The love and dedication of the dancers, both for the customs and for the dance, are evident through their participation and selfless contribution in every invitation to represent their place and convey their tradition. This is why the number of dancers amounts to approximately 150 people.
The repertoire of the dance group includes dances from various regions, starting with the dances of our area and the wider region of Macedonia, and continuing with dances from Greece, Cyprus, Pontus, and the coasts of Asia Minor.
It has performed in various parts of Greece, exchanged performances with many associations, and has also organized traditional dance nights in Arnaia.
Additionally, every year it revives customs in Arnaia such as the Traditional Wedding, the Swallows’ Song, the Koutsmanos, the Christmas Carols, and more. The love for dance, both from the dancers and the dance teacher, is reflected in the results of the performances and the applause from the audience, which inspires everyone to continue.
