Following the road leading from Palaiochori to Megali Panagia, you will find on your left one of the most beautiful monastic guesthouses. This belongs to the Monastic House of Panagia Joy of All Who Sorrow, in the courtyard of which stands the church of St. Athanasios the Athonite. Here, you will also find the holy spring of the active monastic house “Joy of All Who Sorrow.” The church celebrates its feast day on July 5th.
