The goal of the program “Help at Home” is, with the specialized personnel involved, to support elderly and incapacitated individuals so that they are not cut off from their social environment, and to assist the family in keeping these individuals close to them.
The program generally aims to participate in improving the quality of life of each person in need, utilizing their abilities, and creating the conditions for a dignified life.
With the creation of the “Help at Home” program, the Municipality of Arnaia implements its decision to participate in the program of the Ministry of Health and the European Social Fund.
The “Help at Home” Program in Arnaia offers its services to the three Municipal Districts: Varvara, Neochori, and Palaiochori.
It is addressed to:
- Lonely elderly people who are unable to fully self-care due to temporary or permanent health problems.
- People with special needs or families facing serious social issues.
- People who, in general, require special care due to temporary or permanent illnesses.
The Central Macedonia region, specifically the Regional Operational Program of Central Macedonia 2000-2006, implements, in collaboration with K.E.D.AR., the program Continuation of the action: Subsidy of the Municipal Development Enterprise of Arnaia K.E.D.AR. for the creation of the “HELP AT HOME” structure in the Municipality of Arnaia, co-financed 65% by the European Social Fund and 35% National contribution.
