Images Of Winter

Winter has been the most misunderstood season of the year. Between the extremes of cold-heat, home-beaches, closed entertainment centers-concerts, school-holidays, it was always at the bottom of the preferences of both young and old. However, the reality of winter is a bit different from the stereotypes that prevail. Like all seasons of the year, this one too has a unique beauty and many ways to enjoy it.

This time of year is the perfect opportunity for a warm coffee in small cafes, a glass of wine by the fireplace, and evenings with good company as winter brings us all closer. Although the pace may be faster and daily life full of obligations, what could be more beautiful than a cozy Sunday morning in front of a foggy window?

And for the skeptics and die-hard summer fans, we have to say that while we may not swim in the sea in winter, we gaze at it and dream! Moreover, vacations are no longer an exclusive privilege of summer! In winter, we can visit many snowy destinations throughout Greece.

Also, the happiest, most tender, colorful, and sweetest holiday of the year is celebrated during winter! Christmas, with the elves, Santa Claus, the gifts, the overflowing love and optimism, make us all feel different!

Mountainous Halkidiki is perfect for all of the above and looks so beautiful in nature’s white dress! Without organized ski resorts and artificial snow, because here it snows, not only in the mountains! Small cafes with homemade tsipouro and local meze that even the best chef would envy! And of course, the most beautiful “country” in the world, with the happiest inhabitants, is located in Halkidiki! The “Fairyland” in Stratoni was “built” with love for the little friends of Santa Claus, who stays there with his company during Christmas in the Municipality of Aristotle.

So, there are no dilemmas in choosing! Winter, with all its beauties, regains the ground it lost!
