ARISTOTELIA (Cultural Festivals)
(Under the auspices of the Ministry of Education & Culture – Ministry of Education & Culture)
MUSIC: 28 concerts with the participation of major artists and all the ensembles of Aristotle’s School-7 concerts in the winter-Events for the liberation of Macedonia with all the choirs. In 2012, events were held in all the villages of the Municipality, a total of 16.
THEATER: Support for the festival of amateur theater groups (6 performances)
CINEMA: Film tribute: human dreams and expectations (with 5 films)
VISUAL ARTS: Jewelry workshop all summer in Arnaia and annual iconography exhibition at the cultural center of Ierissos.
DANCE: Support for the events of Ammouliani, Stanos, and the Reunion of Megali Panagia, as well as events with the Arnaia dance group for the liberation of the city.
ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN & ADULTS: 15-20 activities for the entertainment of children and elderly people. Distribution of gifts.
ENVIRONMENT: Support for a seminar on wine organized by the KPE Arnaia with a lecture and music event. Support for the permanent collaboration with the A.P.K of the Biology Department of Aristotle’s Spiritual Center at the cultural center of Ierissos for postgraduate students with the topic: “Botanizing the Forest of Aristotle.”
ARCHITECTURE: Support for a seminar on the architecture of the buildings in the area with a music event by the choirs of Paleochori and Megali Panagia of the Municipality of Aristotle.

2. Camerata Aristotle. A small 20-member musical group with 4 concerts (New Year’s Ierissos 2012, Music Day June 21, 2012, collaboration with Maria Farantouri – Ouranoupoli, and Christmas 2012 – Arnaia. Also, with the quartet of the orchestra 4 concerts in Ancient Stageira-Olympiada, Moni Zygi, Varvara, and Paleochori.
3. Traditional Music Orchestra “Anatolikos” of the Municipality of Aristotle. A small 12-member musical group in the style of estudiantinas, with 2 concerts featuring Petros Gaitanos and Maria Sultatou (Pyrgadikia and Ammouliani).
4. Traditional Music Workshop. Operates year-round in Megali Panagia with the participation of local traditional musicians, choirs, and acclaimed soloists of traditional music.
5. Orchestra of Contemporary Music of Halkidiki. Greek music workshop with musicians from all over Halkidiki and in collaboration with Manolis Mitsias.
6. Children’s Choir of the Municipality of Aristotle. With sections operating in all areas of the Municipality.
